I am not the character in the infamous James Bond movies, but I am related to the long line of Bouviers, spawning from Jackie Onassis’s uncle, Jacque Bouvier.     I started casting in Portland, Oregon in 1990 under the name Pam Gilles casting.  Portland has always been known for car commercials. I cast national commercials for Ford, VW, Acura, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and more. I cast for 10 years in Portland until successfully selling my studio and landing in Los Angeles, California in 1996.

For 20 years I cast Lowe’s campaigns for Atomic Direct’s Doug Garnett, negotiating recognizable talent in above scale contracts. A couple more highlights were casting Goodyear Tires for Jim Edwards and & Craig Murray Productions, and Levi's 501 for Gus Van Sant.  This led me to assist Rick Pagano on a film directed by Gus van Sant and spend time at the Ken Kesey  (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest writer)  farm with Grateful Dead.   In 1998, I was hired by Mary Vernieu, to cast the Portland, Oregon, day players on Zero Effect, starring Ben Stiller, Ryan O’Neal, and Bill Pullman for director Jake Kasdan. They must have liked me, because Jake talked me into playing the role of the ‘red head’ massaging Ryan’s back.     Some commercial spots I have cast over the years are McDonalds, Ford, Oldsmobile, VW, Tide, Sears, Walmart, Coca Cola, Petco, Sunkist, Nascar, Budweiser, eHarmony, Nike, Adidas, Colgate-Palmolive, Bank of America, QuickBooks, Miller Beer, FedEx and 100 more.     In my early years in Los Angeles, after 10 years in Portland, Oregon, I cast movie studio promos like Kangaroo Jack, Black X-Mas, Primeval, Movie Crashers, Wild Hogs, Enchanted, Spiderman and Pinocchio for networks like Warner Bros, Sony, Miramax, and Disney under the direction of Sam Hurwitz and Grady Cooper.

I worked as a set dresser in the art department for United Artists, on ‘The Rage: Carrie 2’ under Patrick Palmer (Little Children) assisting Linda Spheeris (El Tonto) in 1999. For 6 months I tore down sets, set up sets, made artwork for Amy Irving’s desk, drove all over North Carolina for props, managed to negotiate 100 feet of leather-bound books for free not once but twice. The highlight on this job was getting a thumbs up on the producer (Patrick Palmer) director (Katt Shea) walk-thru on re-making the bedroom of Carrie in the first movie.

My film highlight was having the opportunity to work with Hanelle M. Culpepper (Star Trek) on Within in 2009 starring Sam Jaeger and Elaine Hendrix. Another great experience was casting Good Intentions in Atlanta, directed by Jim Issa with Luke Perry and Elaine Hendrix.
